GRAAMA Is Coming to SoDIV — And We’re Here for It

Posted July 19, 2025

There’s a new neighbor moving into the block — and it’s not just any neighbor.

The Grand Rapids African American Museum & Archives (GRAAMA) is officially moving into SoDIV.

This is huge.

GRAAMA has been a cornerstone of West Michigan’s cultural preservation efforts, and now it’s joining the creative heartbeat of Division Avenue — right alongside vintage shops, tattoo studios, art galleries, and small businesses doing it their own way.

Having GRAAMA in the neighborhood means more than foot traffic. It means visibility. It means education. It means that SoDIV continues to grow into a space where art, culture, and community intersect — not just aesthetically, but meaningfully.

At Decaydence, we believe vintage isn’t just about clothes — it’s about story, identity, and memory. So GRAAMA moving in? It feels aligned. It feels right.

We’re proud to be part of a district that keeps evolving — and this next chapter feels like one worth showing up for.

Stay tuned. It’s about to get even more beautiful around here. For more information about GRAAMA, visit their official website.
